Perfect pair of Tabriz Carpets
Pair of Tabriz carpets from the end of the nineteenth century made in a master weaver’s workshop with two looms facing each other and probably two weavers working on each carpet. The birds in the foliage of the borders are part and parcel of this celebration of natural life standing out with their white and ivory plumage in a way that the other five species remain more concealed within the more abundant foiliage of the main field. A beautifully conceited pair of carpets with their pairs of bird and reflective intertwined gardens.
