Malayer Mishin

Malayer Mishin from the turn of the nineteenth century a wonderful example of the finest Malayer carpet weaving tradition coming from the village of Mishin using the tight Turkish ghiordes knot to enhance the clarity and crispness of the detail. The deep indigo of the base on which the repeating medallions rest enhances the definition and the floral arrangement evokes the time of art deco and the increasing influence of Russian traditions in the neighbouring regions.
